Crock Pot Queso🍲🧀

A very simple and delicious Mexican dipping sauce from a multi-function cooker that will delight the audience and make it a perfect snack with a variety of cooking options.

My favorite thing about slow cooker recipes is that they are easy and hands-free. But, when a dish calls for brown ground beef (like this one), it may not be appropriate to prepare it the same day, especially if you have a lot of food on hand or you're just looking for actual preparation (which is probably why you'd use a slow cooker recipe in the first place! ).

° 1 pound ground beef or sausage, roasted and drained
° 2 pound block of Velveta
° 2 diced tomatoes and jalapenos*
° 7 ounces diced hot peppers (canned or fresh)
° Diced onions & peppers (optional)

*You can use 2 cans of Rotel instead, if you like...it's really good.

This is just a little homemade so it has a slightly different flavor
1) Heat oil on heat. Fry the onions and peppers until they are light brown and soft.
Spoon the vegetables into the bottom of the small bowl or dish you're going to be dipping in.
2) In the same pan, cook the sausage until brown. Pour into the dish with the vegetables (avoid as much fat as possible).
3) Cut the velfeta into large cubes and add it to the sausage and vegetables. Top with diced tomatoes, jalapenos, etc... Cook over low heat until cheese melts and ingredients are well combined (stir occasionally). Enjoy with tortillas or corn chips!
