Chicken Chow Mein with the Best Chow Mein Sauce

* Ingredients
° 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
° 3 tablespoons of oil
° 12 ounces chow mein noodles (uncooked)
° 2 cups cabbage
° 1 large carrot broth
° 1/2 batch green onion
° 2 cloves garlic
° chow mein sauce
° 6 tablespoons oyster sauce
° 3 tsp lowsodium soy sauce
° 3 tablespoons light sesame oil (unroasted)
° 1/2 cup chicken broth
° 1 tablespoon cornstarch
° 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

* Directions :

In a small mixing bowl, use a whisk to mix the oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch. Sit aside.

Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain, rinse with cold water and set aside.
Heat a large frying pan or skillet with olive oil over medium heat. Cut the chicken breasts into small slices and cook them in the oil until golden brown. The strips are removed from the fire and set aside.

Add the carrots, cabbage and pressed garlic and sauté for a few minutes until the vegetables have softened a little and the cabbage is a bit transparent.

Add the chicken and noodles back to the skillet. Pour the sauce over it and continue to cook all the ingredients together for another 2 minutes.

Garnish the chow mein with chopped green onions and serve the noodles straight from the pan, piping hot!

Enjoy!
