Original Old Bay Crab Cakes

 



Classic Maryland crab cakes are made from sweet, juicy pieces of shredded crab with very little filling - just enough to hold them together while they're fried in delicious butter.


* Ingredients :

° ° Two slices of dried bread, without the crusts
° 1 terabyte. milk
° 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
° 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
° 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
° 1 tablespoon baking powder
° 1 teaspoon old bay seasoning
° 1/4 teaspoon salt
° 1 scrambled egg
° 1 pound of shredded crab meat
° Vegetable oil

In a large bowl, cut the bread into small pieces. Moisten with milk.
Add mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, parsley, baking powder, Old Bay, salt, eggs and crabmeat. Mix gently and shape into 4 pieces. Place the pies in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help keep their shape when cooked. Fill a frying pan with about 1/4 of vegetable oil. Over medium heat, fry until golden on both sides. I usually turn every minute to avoid over-frying.
