Shirley Temple Cake

* Ingredients:
+For cake:
° 1 1/2 cups butter (soft)
° 3 cups granulated sugar
° 5 large eggs
° 3 cups all-purpose flour
° 2 teaspoons lemon extract
° 3/4 cup 7up
° 10 ounces maraschino cherries (drained and juice reserved)
+For glazing:
° 2 cups powdered sugar
° 1 teaspoon lemon extract
° 3-4 tablespoons of milk

* Directions :

Heat the oven to 325 degrees. 
In  bowl, mixing butter (1 1/2 c or 3 sticks) & sugar to light also fluffy.
Adding eggs also continue mixing to blended.
Adding flour & mix again to mixture is smooth.
Pour in lemon extract & 7Up and beat until mixed .
Fold cherry.
Grease frying pan with ghee, & sprinkling it with flour.
Spreading mix in greased & floured tray and baking for 1½ h 
Leave cake to cool about 10-15 mn in pan.
Turn the cake over onto a serving platter and let it cool slightly, then use a toothpick with holes all over the of cake & slowly pour reserve cherry juice on top making sure juice soaks in. Permit it cool totally 
Meantime, mix glaze ingredients & sprinkle on surface of cake.
Adding more cherries if wanted .
