There is nothing better than a homemade donut! Here's a quick and easy recipe for jam-filled donuts that are so much better than the ones you can buy at the bakery or the supermarket. All you have to do is fill it with a little jam.


°500 g flour
°200 ml milk
°2 egg
°25 g baker's yeast
°2 tbsp full of powdered sugar
°pinch of salt
°Jam your choice)
°frying oil (sunflower)
°icing sugar

* Preparation:

Crumble baker's yeast in a bowl. Adding 100 g flour & 4 tsp lukewarm milk. Mix well and leave in a warm place for two hours.
Pour the remaining 400g of flour into a large bowl. Add sugar and salt and mix well. Drill a well in the center. Pour the eggs and stir with a whisk. Add the sourdough and milk while mixing with the paddle attachment. You should get a very homogeneous dough. Leave to rise again for a few hours, or even overnight.
After rest, knead dough again & roll it out on work surface or on  board sprinkled with flour, cut out circles of 6 cm in diameter using a cookie cutter.
Arrange 1 tsp.    Jam in middle of every circle and cover with second around dough form  donut. Pinch edges well, in order glue them (with a little water or milk if need to hold edges together). Permit stand for 45 minutes at room temperature.
Heat few fry oil in saucepan &; dipp donuts in it.
When they turn golden brown, drain them on absorbent paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy it warm or cold!
