It is a meat stew, most often beef, but there are also recipes for pork or veal. Spices in the spotlight in goulash: paprika soup, cumin, and sweet .

*Ingredients: for 6 people:

° 1 kilo of beef with bourguignon
° 1 liter of meat broth (I take 1 cube)
° Small can of tomato puree
° 25 cl of beer (preferably dark)
° 3 onions
° 5 garlic cloves
° 4 islands
° 1 red pepper
° 2 tsp sweet-paprika
° 2 tablespoons hot paprika (or 1 tablespoon sweet red pepper)
° a pinch of marjoram (if you have any but it's very good without the marjoram)
° 1 teaspoon cumin powder
° 50 grams of flour
° 1 good oil spray
° 2 bay leaves
° salt pepper
* Preparation:

 1) Heat  L meat broth. 
2) Dilute 50 grams of flour in a little cold water (10 cl)
3) Pour the flour mixture and diluted water into the broth and mix with a paddle attachment to avoid lumps
4) In a casserole dish, heat the oil spray
5) Meanwhile, peel and chop the onion and garlic
6) Fry onions over low heat
7) Remove the pepper pulp and seeds, cut the vegetables into thin slices and add them to the onions
8) Then add the beef pieces. Cook them for a few minutes until they are light brown
9) We add tomato paste, beer and spices: sweet and strong pepper, cumin and marjoram. to mix together
10) Pour the meat broth over the meat. to mix together
11) Cook over low heat
12) Add chopped garlic 2 bay leaves
13) Peel the carrots and cut them into small cubes, then add them to the goulash
14) Goulash is cooked on low heat for 3 hours. Taste it to adjust the seasoning.
Note: If you like spices, you can add more to your liking.
15) Goulash is eaten hot with kneadeliki, or boiled or mashed potatoes.
