Beef and Broccoli



*ingredients:

°3 tablespoons cornstarch, divided
°1⁄2 cup extra water
°2 tablespoons water, divided
°1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
°1 pound boneless round steak or 1 pound chuck steak, cut into 3-inch thin strips
°2 tsp vegetable oil, divided
°4 cup broccoli florets
°1 onion, cut to wedge
°1⁄3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
°2 tablespoons brown sugar
°1 teaspoon ground ginger
°hot cooked rice

*Directions:

In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water, and garlic powder until smooth.
Add beef and stir.
In  skillet  on medium-high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tsp oil until meat desired doneness; removal also heating.
Saute broccoli and onion in rest oil for 4-5 min.
Return the beef to the skillet.
Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, remaining cornstarch, and water until smooth; Add to skillet.
