Garlic Butter Steak and Potatoes Skillet


°2-4 small steaks
°salt and pepper to taste
°garlic powder to taste
°1 tablespoon olive oil
°2 to 4 pounds baby potatoes, diced
°2-6 tbsp salted butter, soft enough to mash with a fork 1 tbsp per steak, plus 2 tbsp for the potatoes
°2 teaspoons minced garlic
°1 T DRY Italian herb mix
°1 tsp chop fresh thyme
° 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley


Preheat oven 400 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the butter, garlic and dried herbs and set aside. seasoning steaks with salt, pepper & garlic powder on both sides.
Place skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with oil. Sear steaks for 2-3 mn on every side to browned. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
Adding potatoes to skillet, seasoning with salt, pepper & garlic powder also sauté 3-5 minutes to golden brown. Push the potatoes to one side of the pan and return the steaks to the other side of the pan.
Transfering to oven and bake about 15-20 mn to potatoes are fork tender & steak is done to your prefer doneness.
Directly after removing from oven, placing dollop of garlic butter on every steak & the rest on potatoes also let it melt on food before toss potatoes to coat them in butter, & garnish with chopped thyme and parsley before serve.
