Slow Cooker Pork Chops and Potatoes



*Ingredients

° 8 thick, boneless pork chops
° 4 slices of bacon
° 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
° 3 tablespoons of butter
° 2 cups milk or chicken broth
° ¼ cup flour
° ½ teaspoon garlic powder
° 2 cups cheddar cheese, divided
° Salt and pepper to taste

*Instructions

FIRST STEP:
Over medium heat, cook the bacon in a skillet
When finished, remove the bacon and set aside
SECOND STEP:
Leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet, season both sides of each pork chop with salt and pepper and brown lightly on each side.
Spray the slow cooker with nonstick spray
THIRD STEP:
Layer a flat row of sliced ​​potatoes in the slow cooker
Sprinkle with salt and pepper and garlic powder
FOURTH STEP:
Continue layering potatoes and seasoning until you have used all the potatoes
Place the pork chops on the potato layers
FIFTH STEP:
Remove the grease from the pan, but do not clean the pan.
Add the butter, when it is melted, add the flour and using a whisk mix well so that it mixes without lumps
STEP SIX:
Slowly add milk OR chicken broth, stirring continuously until it begins to thicken
Stir in a cup of cheese,
STEP SEVEN:
Pour this mixture over the pork chops in the slow cooker.
The liquid will flow down to the potatoes to cook them
STEP EIGHT:
Cover and cook over low heat for 6 hours, sprinkle remaining cheese on top and sprinkle crumbled bacon over cheese.
