Salted Caramel Bites


4 cups oyster crackers
3/4 cup butter
3/4 c brown sugar
2 tsp  vanilla paste or extract
1 tsp kosher salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper (or aluminum foil) and spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
Spread the biscuits in an even layer on the baking tray.
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Stir until brown sugar dissolves.
Raise the heat until the mixture begins to boil. Stirring  constantly for 3-4 min while the mixture becomes bubbling and lighter in color. It will smell delicious!
Turn off the heat and quickly pour over the biscuits. Mix gently with a rubber spatula until completely covered.
Sprinkle kosher salt over the biscuits.
Put in the oven for 8-10 minutes until it burns.
